Locations & Times

Winter Schedule starts
Monday, August 23rd

As a convenience we have allowed you to go to the pool that is closest to you and will continue to do so.  In an effort to have the teams play together, clarification as to where it would be best for each player is as follows:

10 and U Team is at Capo Monday-Thursday 5-7 PM

12 and U Boys are at Dana Hills HS 5:30-7:30 PM

14 and U Girls and 12 NJO Group - 6:00-8:00 PM San Clemente on Monday, 5:00-7:00 PM at Capo Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

14 and U Boys NJO are at San Clemente Monday-Thursday 6-8 PM

14 and U Boys Dana Group are at Dana Hills Monday-Thursday 5:30-7:30 PM

New players go to Capo from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday-Thursday

If you have been put on one of the above teams for our past tournaments, you should be working out with that group.  We need the players to work out with the teams that they will be playing with.  Time together with those players and coaches will make us a far better team.  All of our pools are within fifteen minutes of each other and it should not be a problem to be with YOUR team for training.

NOTE:  From January to May age groups are defined as:
4th grade and U (11 and U)

6th Grade and U (13 and U)
8th Grade and U (15 and U)
The reason for this is that the kids aging up the first of the year, still get to play with the younger group and get more playing time.  Those 14 and U that turn 15 in 2010 get to play until San Diego Cup the first week of May

Group I Swim Group & Beginning Polo - This will be for children that are just starting water polo and need stroke instruction and endurance training. This program will feed into the next level of age group water polo.

Group II Older players - This will be for children that have swimming background and that have had some experience with water polo. The typical ages would be 8-10 years old or skill level. It is possible to have an older child in this group to develop water polo skills before moving into the next group. Also included in this group would be the new 14 and U boys and girls that are not ready for National Level Tournaments.

Group III Travel Team, Upper level players - This group will consist of kids ages 11-14 and including incoming high school freshmen. This is the National Level Travel Team only for those that have been selected to travel and compete at the highest level.

Goals for all groups
We will swim in all groups every night. A minimum of 30 minutes of swimming for the 5:00 PM group, and 45 minutes for the 6:00 PM group. Water Polo is a swimming game and major emphasis will be on swim conditioning. Basic water polo skills will be stressed as well as the offense and defensive game.
